Opportunity Description: 

Brief job description: Assist the Mount Rainier National Park Associates, a private non-profit organization, in cooperation with Mount Rainier Park crews, with various projects dedicated to the protection of the park's natural resources.

Duties:

  • Assist with trail maintenance and repair;
  • Help with revegetation projects;
  • Remove non-native plants from sensitive habitats;
  • Assist with other projects as needed.

Anticipated results:

You will be helping to preserve the invaluable natural and cultural resources of Mount Rainier National Park. Recent projects have included trail reconstruction on the Wonderland Trail and at Glacier Basin and Carbon River, and restoration of habitat at Paradise and Sunrise.

Responsibilities:

  • Work within parameters of the position description;
  • Dedication to working with proper equipment in a safe, sane manner at all times. Safety First!

Training Requirements: On-the-job training; other training as designed by supervisor.
