Opportunity Description: 

Volunteer in Cuyahoga Valley National Park!

Assist with general gardening and landscaping around the Cuyahoga Valley National Park Donor Recognition Garden.

Gardening includes such work as weed removal, plant maintenance, and watering. It requires the use of basic hand tools such as rakes, shovels, and hoes. Landscaping includes the pruning of bushes and shrubs, mulching, digging, and weeding. Hand tools for landscaping, in addition to those listed above, include wheelbarrows, pruning sheers or loppers, and bow-saws. All tools are provided.

Ages 16 and older. Basic knowledge of gardening, how to use gardening tools and weed identification is required. We are seeking volunteers who are available 3 - 4 hours per month, from spring through fall. This native plant garden is located in front of the Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park’s administrative office at 1403 W. Hines Hill Road in Peninsula, 44264.
