Opportunity Description: 

The Sierra Vista Ranger District is looking for some enthusiastic, friendly, outdoor types to become a site host for Brown Canyon Ranch and surrounding area. The Host will need to provide their own living quarters i.e., trailer or RV for an agreed-upon duration. They should be on site and available according to their individual agreement.

Duties to be performed: Greet visitors, provide area and recreation opportunity information. Assist visitors with rules and regulations, log vehicles that occupy each site. Volunteer is not expected to perform law enforcement duties; if a law enforcement problem arises, call a Forest Officer.

Will be performing grounds clean-up. Clean Carr house by sweeping them out, wash toilets with cleaning supplies provided, and stock with toilet paper. Pick up litter in the area. Report maintenance or safety problems to Recreation Area Manager.

Will work closely with the Friends of the Brown Canyon Ranch who conduct conservation education from Brown Canyon Ranch.
