Opportunity Description: 
Fishery technician will assist fishery biologists with monitoring Endangered pallid sturgeon in Missouri River. Emphasis will be on using various fishery sampling gear including netting and seining. Water quality and fish habitats will also be assessed.

Position requires day-long trips to remote locations on Missouri River. Volunteer would provide own transportation to office and Fish & Wildlife Service will provide transportation to the sampling sites. FWS will provide all necessary equipment and training in fish sampling, fish identification and habitat assessment.

Housing is not provided. Volunteer opportunities are available Monday through Friday.
