Opportunity Description: 

Volunteers provide information and visitor services working as a guide at Ellis Island.
  1. Information Volunteer: Assists at information desk on Ellis Island by providing information to park visitors and handing out park publications and other written materials. Assists with Lost & Found Property Reports.
  2. Ferry Dock Orientation Volunteer: Welcomes arriving visitors to Ellis Island. Provides answers to visitor questions about their visit.
  3. Roving Information Volunteer: Provides information to park visitors as they rove the walkways and museum on Ellis Island. Alerts Park Rangers of any problems that arise from the visiting public or any hazard they may encounter.

Other volunteer projects may include assisting with ongoing education programs and exhibits, assisting with clerical work, and any other appropriate and approved project of a volunteer's design.
