Opportunity Description:
During the school year, the park offers a variety of education programs to local K-12 school groups. Due to high demand of these curriculum-enriching programs, the park needs assistants that can help in providing quality educational experiences for area students. The volunteer will conduct guided tours of the visitor center while presenting educational instruction. Training will be provided to the volunteer on educational program standard operating procedures.

The goal for this position will be to provide a fun and educational experience for students. The benefits for the volunteer include: new opportunities for growth, strengthen communication skills, and gain a thorough understanding of the park and the National Park Service.

Programs could be presented three-four times a month during the school year. Programs vary in length. Most school groups visit our facility for 1 1/2-2 hours at a time.
