General Park Operations Volunteer
Duties include assisting park staff with day-to-day operations and maintenance tasks. These can include staffing the park entrance station or day use area fee collections, cleaning campsites and restrooms, mowing lawns, landscaping, painting and general upkeep of park facilities. Maidstone is Vermont's most remote state park, at the end of a 6-mile gravel road in the famed Northeast Kingdom. The park offers camping, a day use area and hiking trails. Maidstone Lake is great for lake trout and landlocked salmon fishing; many other ponds and streams offer brook trout fishing. Island Pond is 1 hour northwest; Lancaster, NH 45 minutes to the south; Colebrook, NH 40 minutes northeast.
