RV Volunteers NEEDED! As Felsenthal NWR is in the early stages of expanding its Visitor Services program, we are looking for volunteers who are easy going, flexible, eager to learn, and enjoy new things. Normal, routine duties would include welcoming and orienting visitors by working the visitor center front desk, stocking publications at various locations throughout the refuge, trail maintenance, sign and facilities maintenance, groundskeeping around visitor center and Woodland Trial site, and assisting with any on or off-site special events that may take place during a volunteer's stay. **NEW** Seasonal opportunities exist for volunteers to aide in biological endeavors such as monitoring and assisting with Wood Duck management, assisting with exotic species removal, and conducting observations for key bird species. Resident volunteers would be expected to provide their own RV and commit to a stay of at least 3 months, couples must be willing to contribute 24 hours per week per or 32 hours per week for single residents. In exchange for their hours, volunteers will be provided an RV site with private entrance, full hookups including on-site laundry facility, and WIFI.
HOUSING & AMENITIES Type: Trailer/RV Pads Description: 2 RV sites with 50 amp electrical hook-ups; sewage; on-site laundry room with washer and dryer. RV site located on grounds of the Felsenthal NWR Visitor Center, which is located 5 miles west of the town of Crossett, Arkansas.
