Your primary duties incude: greeting the public at the Refuge Headquarters and providing accurate refuge information and wildlife viewing advice, answering the phone, office duties, copying, maintaining brochure racks, assisting with materials for the environmental education programs and special events.
Specific skills include good people skills, computer, and organizational ability.
Local Volunteers welcome. Hours agreed upon with refuge staff. Headquarter hours are 8 am- 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday excluding Federal holidays. Occasional weekend work is possible.
HOUSING & AMENITIES Description: RV volunteers will be required to work an average of 24 hours/week. minimum 2 months. maximum 6 months. Refuge will provide a campsite free of charge that includes 30 and 50 amp hookups, water, sewer, picnic table, and on-site washer and dryer.
