Beaver Lake Project Is Seeking 5 Volunteers For Winter Campground Hosts:
Dam Site River (Eureka Springs AR): Clean Dam Site River restroom/campsites & shower house, clean one pit toilet at Dam Site Lake and one at Starkey weekly, see specific duties noted below. Dates: November 1, 2019 through March 31, 2020.
Prairie Creek (Rogers, AR): Clean Prairie Creek restroom by boat ramp/campsites, clean pit toilet at Rocky Branch by day use ramp weekly, see specific duties noted below. Dates: November 1, 2019 through March 31, 2020.
Horseshoe Bend (Rogers AR): Clean Horseshoe Bend pit toilet by ramp and campsites, see specific duties noted below. Dates: November 1, 2019 through March 31, 2020.
Hickory Creek (Lowell, AR): Clean Hickory Creek pit toilet by boat ramp and campsites, clean pit toilet at War Eagle campground by boat ramp weekly, see specific duties noted below. Dates: November 1, 2019 through March 31, 2020.
Lost Bridge North (Garfield AR): Clean Lost Bridge North pit toilet/campsites, provide campground surveillance at Lost Bridge South and Indian Creek weekly, see specific duties noted below. Dates: October 1, 2019 through April 30, 2020.
The primary duty of the Winter Campground Host is to perform general campground surveillance when the contracted park attendant is finished for the summer season. The host shall provide a minimum of 24 hours of volunteer service per week. The hosts will have various work details to include camper registration, cleaning restrooms, leaf blowing, and general park maintenance as agreed upon. Additional volunteer activities may be necessary to meet hour requirements, but can be arranged through the volunteer coordinator. Volunteers selected for this position are assigned a campsite in the respective campground. Volunteer cleaning supplies will be provided by the government. Transportation and/or fuel cost will not be reimbursed.
Specific duties include: Inform incoming campers of registration policies and explain how to use a campsite through our local winter policy. Assist campers with frequently asked questions, locating their campsite, and assist campers with filling out registration cards. Maintain a list of campers who arrive during your tour of duty; focus on greeting and providing information to new arrivals. Clean restroom in Residence Park at least 3 times a week. Remove ashes from winter camping area fire pits. Once per week, clean pit toilet in adjacent campground (as noted in assignment areas above). Assist with other duties as available and scheduled, as approved with the volunteer coordinator.

HOUSING & AMENITIES Type: Trailer/RV Pads Description: In exchange for 24 hours volunteer weekly service, the Beaver Project will provide one campsite pad, with full hook-up. The full hook up includes water, septic sewer, and electricity at no charge for the Winter Camping season.
