Site host will serve as caretaker of the Fairbank Historic Townsite. The Site Host is normally on-duty from sunrise to 8:30 am and from 5:30 pm to sunset. The Site Host is “on-call” during off-duty hours, when the Site Host will respond to urgent or emergency situations. Duties include:
Maintenance of 1 restrooms in the general vicinity.
Open and close Fairbank and Little Boquillas parking area gates at dawn and close gates at dusk.
Pick up trash and remove to on-site dumpster.
Mow, weed and trim vegetation as needed.
Perform general cleaning and maintenance.
Keep public information boxes in order and stocked.
Work with the Friends of the San Pedro River, a volunteer organization that has a Cooperative Agreement with BLM; assist them with the operation of the Schoolhouse/Visitor Center and during special events.
Provide visitors with information on the SPRNCA and its rules and regulations.
Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor in dealing with the public.
Inform appropriate Law Enforcement officials of any illegal and suspicious activity; assist these personnel during emergencies.
NOTE: Position is not to exceed six months.

Note: The R.V parking space is dirt.
