Volunteer will work at the Pocono Environmental Education Center (PEEC), a private 501 (c) (3) non-profit partner to the National Park Service in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area that advances environmental education, sustainable living, and appreciation for nature through hands-on experiences in a national park. PEEC's campus is an adapted and recycled Pocono Mountains honeymoon resort that gives all who come to visit a chance to experience the Pocono Mountains at their best.
Interested volunteers will assist with ongoing maintenance of PEEC’s outdoor spaces. Tasks include: mowing grass, weed whacking, brush removal, weeding & watering flowerbeds and gardens, trail clean-ups and litter-picks. Tasks will be assigned based on equipment proficiency of volunteer. Volunteer must be able to work efficiently with limited supervision. Flexible hours based on volunteer availability.
