Visitor Center Host & Project Volunteer (Located at Lower Granite Dam):
Dates: May 01, 2019 (flexible) through October 31, 2019 (flexible) Open and Negotiable
Volunteer Duties: Greet visitors while promoting the project and Corps mission, conduct tours of the hydropower dam and fish passage facility, staff bookstore, answer phones, provide visitor information, stock brochures, uphold project and agency security standards, and assist with interpretation and outreach events. Some light housekeeping and maintenance, and other duties as assigned.
Lower Granite Visitor Center has a welcoming friendly atmosphere - Good customer service and people skills are a must.
Benefits: Enjoy meeting new people while working at the visitor center and spend your off time at your RV in a quiet, peaceful remote setting near recreational opportunities like fishing, hunting, boating, kayaking, camping, hiking and more. There is free laundry available (washer and dryer) during off hours on project. There is also access to storage at the RV site that is shared with the other volunteer site next door.

HOUSING & AMENITIES Type: Trailer/RV Pads Description: Full hook-up RV site on the beautiful Snake River with water, sewer & electric is provided (50amp max) in exchange for 20 hour per week per person. Also included: all necessary uniform components, and safety equipment (vest, hard hat, etc.) as well as access to limited storage and free laundry facilities (washer/dryer). Volunteers provide their own RV or trailer.
