We are recruiting local east Texas residents who would like to volunteer at the preserve's Visitor Center facility, located 7 miles north of Kountze, Texas, just off Highway 69/287. Volunteers will engage in providing direct visitor services; orients visitors to the preserve including attractions and programs within, and outside the preserve; answers telephones; operate the orientation film; aware junior ranger badges/certificates, issues backcountry camping permits and other misc. tasks as needed.
Ideally, we are looking for individuals who wishes to volunteer at the preserve Visitor Center, a few hours each week.
At this time we are only recruiting local residents in the southeast Texas area, as no housing or RV sites are available for this position.
