Interpretive Media Assistant
Job Description: Duties may include computer operations, drafting press releases, assisting with park website content, assisting in graphic design for park publications, working with the transcription of park digital content, creation of podcasts or video podcasts, assistance with site social media content, writing and/or photo collection for publication in site newsletter, development of temporary exhibits for visitor center, filming and editing of site programs and events for digital distribution.
Qualifications: Preferred experience with Adobe Creative Cloud and Mac OS X. Applicants should have a keen interest in and knowledge of the civil rights movement, ability to organize information, ability to work cooperatively with others in a stressful environment, and the ability to follow directions and handle controversial issues with tact and in a professional manner.
Time commitment: Position requires a significant time commitment and special skills as this position will require extensive training.
Selection criteria/age requirement: Applicant should specify interest on Volunteer Services Application; applicants must be a minimum of 16 years old. Background check may be required.
