The Delaware Water Gap Volunteer Trail Steward program invites you to join up for to help in the park for the NPS Centennial year of 2016. Volunteers team up to complete essential trail improvements. One weekend a month during the work season, the crew will meet to work on projects ranging anywhere from constructing water diversions and removing hazardous obstacles to building bridges and creating new trail. We promise lots of fun, rewarding work, fresh air and new friends!
The goals of the DEWA Volunteer Trail Stewards are to develop a highly trained crew that can be developed over the season by learning proper techniques and skills.
This year there will also be an opportunity to stay overnight during the work weekend in the park either at a primitive campsite along the Delaware River, or in the park at the Pocono Environmental Education Center (PEEC).
HOUSING & AMENITIES Type: Bunk House Description: Group Cabins or primitive campsites are available once a month for work weekend only.
