Piedmont National Wildlife Refuge is looking for resident volunteers to assist with a special opportunity project located at Bond Swamp NWR. We are currently renovating a 100+ year old farm house located on Bond Swamp NWR in Twiggs County, Georgia. The first phase of renovations were completed during the spring of 2016 and includes a new roof, updated electrical and plumbing, new HVAC, and some exterior renovations.
We are looking for volunteers to assist with phase two of the renovations that will include light carpentry, interior and exterior painting, general clean up and yard maintenance. There is much to do on this grand old house so any special expertise in renovation is also welcome.
There are always other activities available on both refuges to add diversity to your stay. These may include trail maintenance, mowing, litter pick-up, invasive plant control, and visitor services activities.
