Have you ever wondered what it’s like to work backstage in a theater? Are you customer service oriented but interested in being behind the scenes? Are you looking for a unique way to get involved with the National Park Service? If so, we want you to be a part of the 2018 stage door crew at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts. Stage Door is the communication hub for the Filene Center, and we need you to help us ensure that the 2018 performances get off without a hitch!
Serve as the welcoming face of the Filene Center for staff, guests, and visiting performers.
Serve as the communication liaison by answering the phone and providing directions at the stage door counter.
Control access to backstage areas and the dressing rooms.
Work in cooperation with NPS staff to provide services to visiting artists and crews such as basic laundry, washing and folding towels used on stage, and providing water stations for the crew.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be able to climb stairs and stand for a prolonged period.
Must be able to work flexible hours and some weekend shifts.*
Must attend an orientation session before the start of the season.
Should have basic customer service and communication skills.
*You will be contacted as needed, usually with at least one week's notice. The shift is generally from 5:00-10:00 pm, one night a week or less.
