Come help celebrate the Cherry Trees on the National Mall by staffing the Cherry Blossom Festival Welcome Tent, provide general information to the visitors, distribute handouts, and answer visitors' questions. Training and festival information will be provided to volunteers at the beginning of each shift.
Other duties also include assisting at the JR Ranger area, trash pick up and more.
Wear layers as the temperatures fluctuates this time of year. A long sleeve volunteer shirt will be provided but bring additional jackets and other articles of clothing to keep warm. You will be inside a covered area.
Shifts are from 10am -2pm and 2pm-6pm, up to three person per shift.
Weekends may require more volunteers. Depending on visitation, shifts may end early or extended. You will be ask if you can accommodate by shifting to other areas of need.
