This is an intermittent volunteer opportunity. Housing is not included.
Become a MeadoWatch citizen science volunteer, and help researchers learn about the effects of climate change on subalpine meadows in Mount Rainier National Park! Volunteers will hike trail transects intermittently throughout the summer, recording the flowers they observe growing, blooming, and setting seed at designated points along the way.
Volunteers will work with the supervisor to determine a schedule that matches the park's needs with the volunteer's availability. Volunteers may work 1-3 days at a time intermittently throughout the summer.
Volunteer Training: Training for MeadoWatch volunteers is tentatively set for Saturday, June 10, 2017 (the same day as Meadow Rover training, for those who with to participate in both programs).
