The Delta National Forest is looking for a group of volunteers to assist with campsite, trail, and facility maintenance during our peak season. Annually, the Forest sees thousands of visitors during the hunting season. Many of our Forest visitors spend an average of three nights during their stay and are often hunting during the day. With the high visitation that we receive, it is imperative that our ability to provide clean and enjoyable sites and facilities is consistent.
Volunteers would engage in mowing campsites, removing trash from campsites, facilities, and fire rings/grills, litter pick-up along forest roads and facilities. Volunteers could also expect to complete minor trail maintenance such as brushing, lopping, and clearing of vegetation on multi-use trails.
Volunteers may be reimbursed for mileage expenses incurred.
HOUSING & AMENITIES Type: Camp Sites Description: Dispersed campsites are available throughout the Forest. Accommodations may be made at the request of the volunteer.
