Come experience the beauty of the Cle Elum Ranger District! We are looking for positive, friendly, motivated people to help us in our campgrounds this summer.
Qualifications include a positive attitude, an interest in the outdoors, and a desire to help people. Visitors will be coming to you for advice on places to go, directions, and any issues that may arise at the campground. With a good host who possesses people skills, friendliness and a willingness to help, both host and visitor will enjoy their experience.
Specific duties include providing information about area activities; monitoring compliance with campground fees, rules, and regulations; and performing light maintenance duties such as litter pickup, bathroom cleaning, and campfire ring maintenance. The campground host is also responsible for reporting any serious issues that may arise to the Ranger District.
Hosts volunteer at least 5 hours a day and are expected to be on site (camped) 5 days/nights per week. Duration of the season is from around May 15 through September 15. Minimum commitment of two months.
The Ranger District provides hosts with a free host camp site and the necessary tools and supplies to perform their duties, and reimbursement of expenses.
HOUSING & AMENITIES Type: Camp Sites Description: Host must provide their own RV, trailer, or camper. Sites require self-containment. The Ranger District will provide solar panels, water barrels with onsite filling, propane, and macerator.
