Come experience being the land steward, for the tallest cascading waterfall east of the Mississippi River! Whitewater Falls is located on the Nantahala Ranger District on the Nantahala National Forest in Jackson County, North Carolina.
Our Volunteers are expected to provide their own RV, and we provide free water/sewage/electricity hook up and a full-size refrigerator. Volunteers serve as important site-specific caretakers who protect environmental and recreation values. They provide the public with local information and ensure visitors comply with the rules and regulations. Volunteers will work with Ranger District personnel to make sure certain tasks are performed safely and efficiently. Volunteers will help keep a clean and friendly environment.
Whitewater Falls has available volunteer slots between April 10 thru the end of May 31st 2019 . This is non-paid position. Forest Service policy does require volunteer background checks.
