Education internswork withpark staff in preparing and presenting curriculum-based programs for K-8 grade students in their classrooms and in the park. Programs have established themes and objectives that focus on natural science or history.
Qualified applicants will relate well to children between the ages of five and thirteen, and enjoy the physical and mental demands of teaching outdoors.
Work 32 hours per 5-day work week.
Participate in program training and work as a member of the education team.
Lead field-based programs as well as classroom programs.
Contribute to all aspects of district operations as assigned.
Represent the National Park Service as a member of the interpretive staff.
A weekly stipend of $150, paid monthly.
$65.00 uniform allowance (Receipts must be provided.)
Uniform shirts and jackets provided.
Fully furnished shared apartment and utilities are provided.
