The South Zone area of the Northwest Oregon district is seeking interested camp host or a camp host couple to provide campsite host duties. We have campgrounds and day-use only sites covering an area of approximately 75 miles east to west, and 30 miles north to south, centered on the Eugene-Springfield area.
Our hosts are front line contacts with recreating public, and are required to provide the best image of the Bureau of Land Management. You will be assisting the BLM staff with visitor’s services such as providing information on recreation opportunities available in the area, informing visitors of site rules, and assisting our recreation staff with facility maintenance.
We ask that you be able to provide a self-contained RV or trailer for your living needs, as our facilities are outside of normal RV park conditions. We are able to provide potable water at most of our sites, and varying degrees of amenities on a site by site basis.
Volunteers will be reimbursed for expenses (daily camp rate, mileage, other cost incurred) at a rate to be decided during interview. There is an application/background check process that must be completed prior to start of the season.
Willing to live remotely at host camp site.
Camp host amenities: Will provide generator and propane gas
HOUSING & AMENITIES Type: Other Description: Host should have an RV or tent suitable for a long term stay.
