Yosemite National Park is seeking motivated, friendly, and independent individuals to serve as camp hosts at campgrounds along Tioga Road. You will serve at one of three first-come, first-served campgrounds: Tamarack Flat, Yosemite Creek, or Porcupine Flat. We are seeking candidates who can commit to one month of service between the months of May and October. There are no water, sewer, or electric hookups available at these campgrounds, and cell phone reception is likely unavailable at the campground you serve at. The nearest town for groceries is in excess of one hour away.
This opportunity is fantastic for someone looking to enjoy the park’s high country this summer. These campgrounds offer quick access to a bounty of the park’s best hiking trails, mountain summits, and scenic viewpoints, as well as access to the east side of the Sierra Nevada and places such as Mammoth Lakes and Mount Whitney. Do you love the outdoors? Do you want to give back to the National Park Service while enjoying all the recreational opportunities that Yosemite has to offer? If so, this position could be a perfect fit for you.
HOUSING & AMENITIES Type: Camp Sites Description: Camp hosts will be provided a camp site within their designated campground. No hookups are available. Water may be available from creeks and would need to be boiled or filtered before consuming.
