Prescott National Forest is currently seeking a volunteer to be the site host for an adminstrative site and to provide support to the Trails/Wilderness program in Prescott, Arizona. Prescott is a full-service town with a mild climate year-round.
Relevant Skills: Carpentry, painting, First Aid/CPR, Trail work skills, and general cleaning
Duties: Upkeep of facilities including cleaning/organizing of site cabin, wharehouse, and outbuildings. Minor carpentry work of facilities. Upkeep of administrative site grounds, including vegetation removal and management. Support of Trails/Wilderness program including: driving government vehicles, assisting with facilitating weekly trail work days, doing trail work with other volunteers when possible. Feeding and caring for forest stock including two horses and two mules when needed.
Full RV Hookups and sites available to selected volunteer(s) on administrative site grounds.
