Work Camper: Dates: “Immediately ASAP”
Volunteer Duties: The Work Camper during the summer season is April 1, 2019 through September 4, 2019, the volunteer(s) will be responsible for providing visitor assistance, and overseeing the park and campground. They are responsible for making sure all Day-Users are out of the park at 7:00 P.M. They will check for pavilion reservation and assure the reservation sign is posted and lights are turned on. They will make no less than 4 patrols throughout the recreational areas. Other assigned responsible are picking up limbs and litter throughout the park areas. They will be mowing doing growing season, blowing, trimming low limbs throughout the park and remove over flowing trash cans.
The need for now is for “Campground Winter Sitting” (September 4, 2018 through March 31, 2019 "ASAP"). The volunteers responsible will involve blowing, picking up limbs and maintaining park and campsites. They are responsible for routine daily inspections and report any vandalism, water leaks, storm damage and etc.
Special Skills: Attentive, friendly, and accommodating. Portray a positive image of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Work will be performed according to safety guidelines provide by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Training will also be provided to the Volunteers. (Updated 09/28/2018)
HOUSING & AMENITIES Type: Trailer/RV Pads Description: Housing & Amenities: Six Mile Campground has camping pads with water, electric and sewer hookup free of charge. All volunteers will be provided volunteer shirts and cap.
