Arrowhead Campground Co-Host Needed!! Uwharrie National Forest provides excellent fishing, hiking, motorized trails, mountain biking trails, equestrian trails, shooting range, hunting, boat ramp for motorized boats adjacent to campground on Badin Lake, canoeing and kayaking on the Uwharrie River & Badin Lake. The Forest is less than 2 hours from Charlotte, Raleigh/Durham, Greensboro & Winston-Salem in North Carolina.

General Comments about Arrowhead Campground:
Both RV and tent camping are allowed. One bathhouse is provided for the whole campground. Both electric and non-electric campsites are available. Arrowhead Campground is open all year.
This is a volunteer position with no salary or reimbursement. Fee envelopes, reservation signs, gloves, printer paper, reservation signs, cleaning supplies, etc., are supplied by the Forest Service. Power, land line phone service, sewer and water hookup, and a storage shed are available at the Host site. Host is provided with a volunteer vest and hat, and a Forest Service radio.
Host Duties are as follows:
Provide information and assistance to campers and monitor campground and enforce campground rules.
Assist visitors in understanding campground fees and visitor regulations in a friendly and courteous manner.
Observe the condition of campground facilities and report items needing attention/maintenance to the Forest Service. Assist with general carpentry/maintenance, plumbing and electrical issues (general issues) until Forest Service or repair person can get to the campground.
Restock toilet paper in restrooms and tidy restrooms as necessary, between contractor's cleaning.
Perform incidental general cleanup of campsites, fire rings, and grills after visitors leave.
Post campsite reservations as provided by Reserve America or the Ranger District Office.
Remove litter and debris from the Badin Lake Trail at least twice a month, starting at the Cove Boat Ramp point on the trail and ending at eastern edge of the Arrowhead Campground and remove litter on the paved paths within the campground. This is approximately 3/4 mile all together.
Being present in the campground will primarily include coverage on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Inform the District Office when you will not be on site, so they can get coverage.
Facility cleaning, mowing, and trash removal in the campground are provided by a contractor.
