Yosemite National Park is seeking motivated, friendly, and independent individuals to serve as camp hosts at our dry campgrounds which don’t have running water, sewer, or electric hook-ups. Ideally a host would need to provide their own lodging in the form of a tent. There may be exceptions for small RV’s or camper vans depending on the campground selected. Cell phone reception will likely be unavailable at your duty station. The nearest town for groceries could be in excess of one hour away.
We are seeking candidates who can commit to one month of service during the period of May- October 2019.
This opportunity is fantastic for someone looking to unplug and immerse themselves in nature. These campgrounds offer quick access to a bounty of the park’s best hiking trails, mountain summits, and scenic viewpoints. Do you love the outdoors? Do you want to give back to the National Park Service while enjoying all of the recreational opportunities that Yosemite has to offer? If so, this position could be a perfect fit for you!
HOUSING & AMENITIES Type: Trailer/RV Pads Description: Camp hosts will be provided a camp site within their designated campground. No hookups are available. Water may be available from creeks and would need to be boiled or filtered before consuming.
