Duties: Volunteers provide essential services to park visitors on a daily basis. Primary duties include greeting and orienting visitors in the Visitor Center, answering questions about the park, recording statistical data, making sales, professionally answering phone calls, and other office functions. Park volunteers may also assist rangers in interpretive and educational programs and developing exhibits or bulletin boards.
Skills: Good oral communication skills, ability to work independantly, and an interest in natural and cultural history. Volunteers should be flexible, people-oriented, and have the ability to interact with visitors of varying age groups and cultures.
Located along the St. Johns River in Jacksonville, this park has all of the access to services within the city of Jacksonville, while still feeling in a world of it's own. Two RV pads are available one which can accommodate large vehicles and the other which is smaller so availability is based on current occupation. Please include the RV size in your application.
