Visitor Center volunteers staff the front desk at the Cumberland Ranger District Visitor Center on beautiful Cave Run Lake! Service includes greeting visitors and providing excellent customer service by answering questions related to recreational opportunities,natural and cultural resources, and Forest rules and regulations.
Volunteers serve as Collection Officer to sell items such as National Forest maps, recreation fee passes, OHV passes, and Golden Age Passports. Volunteers also assist with Forest activities including special events, programs, and educating the public about Leave No Trace principles. The best candidates will be outgoing and comfortable interacting with the public in a professional manner.
The greatest need is Memorial Day – Labor Day. Volunteer is required to serve weekends and holidays.
HOUSING & AMENITIES Type: Camp Sites Description: RV sites with hookups are available to volunteers who fill this vacancy and provide a minimum of 24 hours of service per week
