Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
Takes and delivers telephone messages for the staff and answers routine inquiries
Updates manuals and paperwork as directed by supervisors
Records and files information as directed
Monitors stock levels of a variety of office supplies
Runs copy machine
Updates spreadsheets as directed by supervisors. (radon hours)
Performing work such as preparing, receiving, reviewing, and verifying documents
Maintaining office records; locating and compiling data or information from files
Compiling information for reports
Education and Experience
Knowledge of operation of standard office equipment.
Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems such as filing and record keeping
Knowledge of principles and practices of basic office management
Communication skills - written and verbal
Pplanning and organizing
Problem assessment and problem solving
Information gathering and information monitoring
Attention to detail and accuracy
Customer service orientation
Requested Volunteer Hour Contribution
24 per week is ideal! (minimum of 8 hours necessary)
The incumbent will be provided with an NPS Volunteer shirt and hat which will need to be paired with dress pants or khakis.
Housing cannot be guaranteed, as space is limited. Beds are assigned on a first come first served basis. If available, volunteers are required to work a minimum of 35 hours per week.
