We are accepting applications for a Camp Host at our Half Moon Bay Campground, primarily an ATV enthusiast campground.
Douglas County Parks provides opportunities for citizens to volunteer to host at our beautiful campgrounds. You could find yourself at the ocean or at one of our riverfront parks providing services to our campers and daily visitors. Our park hosts are quite literally some of the most visible faces of our organization, helping visitors feel welcome, answering their questions and familiarizing them to the park and surrounding area.
Benefits of hosting
Campsite in a beautiful setting
Orientation and training to perform your job well
Volunteer uniform identifying you as part of the team
A chance to learn new skills and challenge yourself
Appreciation events and recognition items
An opportunity to become a vital part of our Douglas County Parks family!
Our Volunteer Camp Hosts keep our parks clean and inviting by picking up litter and taking note of anything needing repaired, as well as checking for safety hazards. They also maintain all barbeques and fire rings.
Daily responsibilities are varied, and may include some of the following:
Collecting fees, providing assistance to campers, or helping them with problems or pointing out park rules and policies to help them have a pleasant stay.
General park maintenance may include cleaning of restrooms and/or showers, checking restroom supplies, and cleaning cabins/trailer home rentals.
Volunteers are provided with a free Full Hook-up space for their motorhome or camp trailer in which to stay, utilities are paid.
