Bears who become habituated to human food may have to be relocated or destroyed. Help protect the White Mountain National Forest's black bear population by educating visitors about proper food storage when camping and hiking. Volunteers will periodically make walking patrols through our developed campgrounds, sharing information one-on-one with visitors and checking on food storage at unoccupied campsites. Flexible hours, including evening and weekend opportunities.
Mandatory training provided May 11, 2019, 9:00-2:00 at White Mountain National Forest, 71 White Mountain Drive, Campton, NH 03223.
