Duties of this position include:
Perform routine maintenance duties
Maintain cleanliness and safety of park grounds and facilities
Opportunity to assist with trail projects and fencing repair
Occasional use of a computer for data entry
Organizing supplies and materials
Assisting staff with construction and other types of project work
Use of tools required
Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required
Applicable safety training will be provided
Volunteers may be required to operate park vehicles
Volunteers are required to dress in proper attire/ uniform pieces
Volunteers will be issued volunteer shirt(s)
Volunteers will operate under a Voluntary Services Agreement
Valid driver’s license is required
Volunteers must have ability to pass a federal background check. Volunteers are expected to provide 40 hours/week of service. Days off are flexible. Volunteer uniforms and free housing consisting of either a single apartment unit or shared bunkhouse will be provided either on the UT or CO side of the monument. Transportation to and from the park is the responsibility of the volunteer when not on-duty. Must be willing to work outside in a variety of environmental conditions. Work may occasionally be strenuous and involve heavy lifting of up to 50lbs or more.
