National Public Lands Day (NPLD) is the nation’s largest single-day volunteer effort for public lands. Each year, hundreds of thousands of participants come together to volunteer their time as environmental stewards. Volunteers complete various service projects designed to improve parks, refuges, local waterways, recreation areas, trails, community gardens, and historic sites across the country.
Join us on Saturday September 28 for Autumn and Apples: National Public Lands Day at Hopewell Furnace. Several service projects will be completed from 9am-1pm followed by an afternoon of autumn and apple related activities and crafts.
