Opportunity Description: Volunteers are needed in our small but beautiful site located along the Connecticut River and near Dartmouth College. Augustus Saint-Gaudens was America's foremost sculptor in the late 1800's, sculpting many Civil War monuments and designing our $10 and $20 gold pieces used until 1933. Tours are given of the art work, his home, Aspet, and gardens. Sunday afternoons feature concerts through most of the summer, and there is a Night Sky party and Sculptural Visions day with various sculptors and mediums demonstrated, in September. Fee collection and Eastern National bookstore duties are required.
Background checks are required and fees will be covered by the park. Needed are 32 hours per week per volunteer.
We're open from Memorial Day Weekend until October 31st. We'd welcome a 6-month commitment but can certainly be flexible if you can commit to half that time - three months, either at the earlier start or latter end of the season but subject to discussion.
HOUSING & AMENITIES Type: Trailer/RV Pads Description: RV space available; 5-minute walk from RV space to Visitor Center; will need to able to back up your RV/trailer.
