Maintenance Project Volunteer(s) Need/Located at Swallows Park, Clarkston, WA:
Dates: May 1, 2019 through October 31, 2019 – Negotiable (Note that a 6 month commitment is requested and options for year-round stay exist).
Duties: The primary need and duties for the upcoming season is for maintenance personnel to unlock and lock gates and restrooms (early morning, late night), clean restrooms, and empty garbage cans. While we attempt to have multiple volunteers to offload some of the work days, these tasks are 7 days a week and coverage needs to be maintained.
There may be additional minor duties related to trash pickup, filling bag dispensers, removing painting over graffiti, trimming blackberries/shrubs and/or covering some visitor assistance duties at the boat ramp when the regular camp hosts are out of town.
The RV sites are located on the South edge of Clarkston so reliable cell phone service by most major providers are available. The major TV networks can be received with an antenna also. The housing location is in a park like setting but close to all the major conveniences in either Lewiston, ID or Clarkston, WA (stores, restaurants, hospitals, etc.). Also included: all necessary uniform components, and any required safety equipment. Travel to Clarkston is reimbursed as is travel back to point of origin if the volunteer agreement is fulfilled. HOUSING & AMENITIES Type: Trailer/RV Pads Description: Benefits: Volunteers provide their own RV or trailer. Full hook-up RV site are the beautiful Snake River with water, sewer, electric (50 amp max) and propane is provided in exchange for a minimum of 20 hours’ of work per week per person. Also access to free laundry facilities washer/dryer are in the Natural Resource Office.
