We encourage volunteers from 14 - 113 years old to help at the Children’s Theatre-in-the-Woods for the 2018 performance season. Volunteers age 14-15 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian willing to volunteer as well. Ticket tearing, patron greeting, and performer assistance are just a few of the ways in which these volunteers assist us. Volunteers over 18 also have the option to help by driving carts for patrons with special needs. Our Theatre-in-the-Woods season runs from late June through early August, 2018. Volunteers may sign up for flexible schedules or they can choose a day (or two or three) of the week (Tuesday through Saturday) and make a commitment to help us on that day throughout the season. We understand that volunteers may need to miss a day from time to time. Work times are usually from 9:00 am until 11:30 am. Recruitment for volunteers at the theater takes place from January through May. There is a mandatory orientation in June to help familiarize volunteers with the park and their volunteer responsibilities. Volunteers will be expected to work at least seven days minimum during the season. Volunteering at the Children’s Theatre-in-the-Woods can help high school students reach their required community service hours. It is also an excellent way to earn federal hours for scouting. Upon request, the park can provide documentation of the number of hours volunteered.
