Opportunity Description: Volunteer positions are currently available for couples or individuals willing to assist with park improvements and general maintenance of facilities. The time-span is flexible, but prefer a minimum commitment of 3 months. Tasks include but not limited to grubbing, trimming and watering established trees, planting new trees, litter pickup throughout the parks and small debris pickup on the shoreline, installing or repairing signs, boundary fences, trails, or other tasks such as general carpentry, concrete, electrical, plumbing, or painting. Responsibilities may be assigned according to demonstrated skills and experience. Appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) will be supplied. Volunteers will need good leadership skills and be able to effectively communicate with staff. Volunteers will work under the direct supervision and generally alongside Ranger and Maintenance staff.
Special Skills Needed: Positive attitude and outgoing personalities along with the desire to work as part of a team to reach our goals and "Make a Difference". (Updated 10/31/2017)
